Exploring street signs
This is an edited photo from the set below. The photo is off a fenced of area with signs attached to the fence. In the area there is an old hut with even more signs placed on the blue door of it. The signs on the fence are yellow and say 'danger of death' on them with the sign to match. this is different from the original because I have changed the contrast and brightness to add more depth into the photo. The effect this has had is to increase the darkness around the bottom of the photo drawing the eye and giving more of the photo to look at. I like this photo because its both dark and mysterious which are both attributes of the painting done by martin, as ell as having street signs which link back to the starting point.
This is my first shoot of street signs and furniture. I went out in Alton and took photos of the local signs. my favorite photos in this set are the ones of the fence. the first couple of photos where signs. I thought this was a good idea 1 to get warmed up for other photos and to test the lighting and two because the suited the project. these photos are quite good but I don't think I will do anything with them because although they might be interesting signs there not very interesting photos. the next photos in the set are a bit more interesting in the fact they have a foreground and a background, with a depth of field difference between them. this made it easier to make a more interesting photo then the others. it helped as well that the signs were interesting. the next photos in the set are then of more random street signs. there was no plan to this shoot other that to go out and find interesting signs. this I find is the best way of taking photos unless its a purposeful shoot. The ones of the sign in the sky could have been better if condition were right. these photos again are trying and messing around with depth of field.
